Movie Review - Queen

When you watch movies like 'Queen', you feel hopeful of a pleasant future for Hindi films. Today morning I was confused on which movie to go for - 'Queen', '300 -Rise of an Empire' or 'Gulab Gang'. I eventually chose 'Queen', and wasn't disappointed at all.

I had never thought of Kangana Ranaut capable of pulling off what she did in this movie. 'Queen' is a one-woman show - resting on Kangana's shoulders. Kangana plays Rani - A simple Delhi girl who faces a cancelled marriage at the last moment. Initially in shock, Rani decides to go on her honeymoon as she had planned - all alone. Roaming through Paris and Amsterdam, she makes friends - discovers ways to have fun and enjoys her life.

Director Vikas Behl has produced a wonderful piece of cinema. The supporting actors including the foreign actors made important contributions to the movie.

'Queen' has some really great comic sequences. The movie is something very original and innocent. The movie is bold at some points - but save them you can watch it with your family. It has all ingredients of a good movie - a new story, some refreshing humour and a lot of feel-good scenes (and a big fat Punjabi wedding in the beginning :P).

A must watch I would say. Kangana Ranaut has nailed it.
