Movie Review - Shaadi Ke Side Effects

In 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects', Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan play Sidharth and Trisha Roy, a happily married metro couple. Trouble brews in paradise once Vidya gets pregnant.

Sid grapples with the changing dynamics of his happy married life, once his daughter is born. He pulls out all the stops to make things work in his relationship with his wife. What follows is a very fun first half of the movie - full of seemingly real situations that will undoubtedly make you laugh. The second half starts of well but later becomes too emotional and dull.

This movie is a perfect example of how a talented star cast can be major decider in a movie's success and a major contributor to quality. Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan are excellent actors and play their parts perfectly well. The 'chemistry' thing that all people talk about is great. Ram Kapoor and Vir Das as supporting actors give decent contributions.

Their isn't much to talk about music except for Jazzy B's 'Harry's not a Brahmachari' which is peppy and will definitely be a hit on the dance floors (because lyrics don't matter there :P).

Since it turned out to be a comedy movie, a more hilarious second half would have done wonders to the movie. Still, I think it's a decent movie deserving at least a watch.
