The show is about a zombie apocalypse and how it wipes out almost the entire human race. There are survivors, a lucky few, who are in for a continuous fight for survival.
By realism in this show, what I mean is the behaviour, the attitudes and the desires of humans won't really change even after the apocalypse as depicted in the show. They will try to stay together for security, will form groups and eventually bond with the group members.Some people will just die of hopelessness.Others will emerge fighters. They'll learn how to survive, how to fight and how to scavenge for life essentials. But within the group there will be politics- a fight on who would be
the group's head - the leader. There will be jealousy and there will be
desperation. There will be quarrels, then fights and then cold-blooded
murders even in the days of doom. The main challenge would be adapting to the new world, finding a safe corner for yourself and tolerance towards actions of fellow survivors.
One thing is clear in the show. Zombies are only the dangers. But the real enemies are the people, the people who won't want you to live. This becomes more evident in the third season. The image above bears this chilling message. In the initial episodes of the show, I didn't think that the creators would have much of a story to work on. But I have been proved wrong, for season three has a very good plot and is full of thrills and shock deaths. And yeah, I love this show.
